>we are electric< is the second single to be taken from the recently released >entertainment< album by fischerspooner. a soaring slice of scintillating electro with super fried guitars and anthemic lyrics that put me in mind of blade runner. possibly the standout track on an album full of super strong tunes, >we are electric< comes with 3 amazing remixes which couldnt be more different from each other. the lush radio friendly nu disco mix by kitsune favourites classixx reaveals the pop heart of the song and makes us think of the pet shop boys. next up is an absolutely storming mix by cursor miner, this is so hot its likely to burn the hair off your head if heard at full volume. its extreme treated vocals recall moments from the first fs album but the beats are pure miner madness. lastly but by no means least we have hot chip at their most club friendly, comparatively subtle compared to the previous mix, its deceptive simplicity reveals an insidious dancefloor killer when played in the right context. so there we have it then a knockout single from fischerspooner on the back of a great album that has received some fine press, a selection of which is printed below.

ia stands for 4/4 beats and the label starts with a bang with three great and quite different 4/4 tracks for many deep and tech floors, and tropic of capricorn for more chilled moments. elevator is crisp deep/tech house which slowly builds and just rocks! with a wicked solid deep bassline too that keeps things really groovy. jack o diamonds also has that clean crisp sound and groovy bass with synth stabs and lots of funk for loads of different dancefloors. its a bit more upbeat than elevator and also has wicked deep bass to keep peeps movin! saturn 5 is deeper, darker, subtle and just a massive deep phat sound which is totally awesome on any decent system, wonderful deep textures and pads - just really lush. tropic of capricorn is a deep detroity broken beat track that compliments the others. crisp production again and not too cluttered, it does what it needs to and works in many different situations.

stephen hellm is back on k-records with a brand new release called �taste�, without a doubt a perfect title that really says it all. in the original version you get carried away by a dreamy melody and very subtle nature sounds in the background. listen to it at home lying in bed, or float above the dance floor in your favorite club. this is a multipurpose track.robert babicz has taken the remix side for his account. with some extra punch, a pulsating acid line, a sharp synth and even a piano riff, the master himself made it a real dance floor killer.

after a break from solo production for his own blueprint label, during which he released a well-received album ( the dash ) on the mighty tresor, and a brace of singles as o/v/r (with regis), james ruskin returns to home-ground with a cracking two-tracker. sabre is a classic ruskin production, booming bottom-end and a mind-mangling filtered fx loop swirling around over the top. deceptively simple production that is definitely greater than the sum of its parts, as all good techno should be. on the flipside, massk follows a similar template, with only 5 or 6 parts throughout the whole track, but the subtle changes in arrangement lure the listener in to the deep and dark world of mr ruskin...

the fourth and final sampler for the way of the samurai represents the full stylistic diversity of the label samurai music. hobzee & zyon base were asked to design a tune specifically for this project and when 1000 paper cranes arrived in the inbox it was obvious they had a very firm grasp on the sound the label was looking for. fluid, gliding vibes and a subtle sexy vocal ease the tune into its rhythm. the breaks and bass provide a step reminiscent of photek to the eastern sonics that unwind themselves around the rhythm.

our third release is introducing to you more intensely the musical personality of dairmount, founder & a&r of our the label. longtime independent music activist born in belgium (formerly known as philarmonix), dairmount is a natural born �freestyler� who embraced anything soulful & groovy since the late 80�s, playing & travelling the world for 15 years. hamburg is the city where he settled down in the last 6 years and 2009 marks the accomplishment of his personal dream to found room with a view, shelter of his musical fantasies. friendship & challenge are two values that defi ne phil pretty well so it is no surprise that musical collaborations & versatility tightly express his musical approach and personal ethic. after displaying bass-ment tale, an old school house tribute produced with his partner in crime marino berardi, on the fi rst episode of the perspectives serie, dairmount is presenting subakuatik blues on his fi rst ep. recorded in 2007 with his good friend ralf petter, an �old cat� of the hamburg music scene, this track managed to capture the essence of these great studio sessions : phil�s natural obsession to create hybrid club material & ralf�s amazing engineering skills matching perfectly to create this sub-aquatic dream that resulted in the track name. lost in the world of analogue synths of ralf�s studio, they created a 9 minutes odyssey crossing the lines between deep house, disco futurism & detroit infl uences topped by a surprising �ravy� breakdown. phil approached naturally two of his longtime favorite producers to give their own perspectives of the timeless feel of the original : russ gabriel, who phil has always admired for the depth of his output on ferox, planet e or his own soul on wax, has signed a beautiful version of the track. extremely subtle & hypnotic, this remix is a true blessing & a great pride. mood music�s honcho sasse, old friend of phil, retouched with lots of love & care the track that he went crazy for and even realised 2 vers

10 years ago toronto�s matt thibideau (aka altitude/coordinates) contributed one of the finest tracks in cynosure history. today matt returns with three brand new cuts and a re-mastered version of the cyn001 classic track entitled �archenar�. asphalt starts things off with a cutting edge syncopated groove that precisely reflects the cynosure sound over the years. a minimal, swingin, synth stab work out giving you the right amount of funk. archenar smooths things out with some lush pads and a dreamy reverb on the drums creating a subtle washed effect, perfect for the early morning blur. but let�s not forget to mention the killer ms-20 sub bass line.. ahhh so deep. icebox comes next with some icy precision fm syncopation in the mix. accompanied by matt�s signature classic synth percussion grooves. full of melody and warmth this track would melt most refrigerators down. last but not least the outside b track entitled 30 story drop. following suite with matt�s previous releases on blue records under the alias altitude 30 story drop dives deep into basic channel influenced dub and drops some serious bass. matt thibideau�s return to the label has been long anticipated and proves that cynosure�s mandate of releasing timeless uncompromising music is still very much alive 10 years on

juan sanchez, the amsterdam based producer with spanish background, makes his wolfskuil debut with an impressive 2 track single. the freakshow ep is an examplary showcase of what juan is capable of. two peaktime tracks, but both with different angles. the title track delivers exactly what you expect from a song with that particular title. freaky, out of control basslines and over the top rhythmic exersises, with loads of subtle hints, clever programming and detailed edits form the freaked out basis for juans vocals. no 4 bars are the same, but the track is coherent from beginning untill the end. prepare to rip up floors with this one!23 positions shows a different side of juan. its carrying his trademark production style, but 23 positions takes a more melodic approach. beautifully arranged strings sweep in and out througout the track, accompanied by a non stop rolling groove. again there is a remarkable eye for detail, clever programming and spot on sound engineering, wich makes this tune explode from any pa.
